Radio/Rtown

RADIO/RTOWN is an ongoing experimental audio project based in Atlanta, Georgia, built on a simple premise: that sound can bring people together. Using the medium of audio as a means of aiding in community cohesion, collaboration, and co-creation, it takes the form of a live broadcast with eclectic, wide-ranging programming and an open invitation for listeners to shape what gets played. Equal parts neighborhood institution and creative laboratory, RADIO/RTOWN asks what community looks like when you tune into it.

The project spans multiple disciplines — from the development of a distinct visual brand identity to interactive design that extends the listening experience beyond the broadcast itself. Every element, sonic and visual, is built to reflect the same spirit of openness and participation that sits at the project’s core.
